The community multimedia centre will provide the Marokani community with digital resources, such as computer equipment, and a community radio station for communication and education.
The Marokani Health Centre was built with the support of World Bank funds as part of institutional strengthening programmes to improve healthcare for the population of Cabo Delgado.
The health centre will serve approximately 46,628 inhabitants of the villages of Marokani, Nanjua, Manjasse, Nsanja, Mahera and 25 de Junho.
Tauabo said that the inauguration of the health unit was a clear demonstration of the government’s implementation of the agenda for the development of social infrastructures and improvement of access to health care for the population of Cabo Delgado.
