Mozambique: Montepuez Ruby Mining, Lúrio University partner for environment and biodiversity protection in Cabo Delgado

Montepuez Ruby Mining (MRM) has partnered with Lúrio University to develop environmental protection and biodiversity recovery projects in Cabo Delgado province.
Funding for the projects , to be implemented over the next seven years, will be disbursed by Montepuez Ruby Mining .
The projects funded by MRM will involve students from Lúrio University (UniLúrio), who will work with local communities to preserve the environment and restore biodiversity.
To this end, an agreement was signed on Tuesday, at FACIM- Maputo Trade Fair, by the chairman of the board of directors of Montepuez Ruby Mining , Samora Machel Jr., and the rector of Lúrio University, Leda Florinda Hugo.
Although the amounts involved in the agreements have not been disclosed, the partnership aims to strengthen environmental conservation efforts in Cabo Delgado.
