Vista finalizes the acquisition of Société Générale Mozambique

Vista Group Holding announced on Thursday the finalisation of its acquisition of Banco Société Générale de Moçambique S.A. according to a press release from the Guinea-based pan-African banking group, cited by Libreinfo.

The group announces the finalization of the acquisition of 100% of Banco Société Générale de Moçambique, which currently has eight branches. At the end of the process, it will be renamed Vista Bank Moçambique.

“Our acquisition of Banco Société Générale de Moçambique represents an important milestone in Vista Bank Group’s journey towards its goal of becoming a world-class pan-African financial services group with operations in 25 countries by 2026,” said Vista Group Holding Chairman Simon Tiemtoré.

“This new acquisition allows the Group to increase its support and impact on economic growth and financial inclusion. With this transaction, we now operate in five countries: Burkina Faso, The Gambia, the Republic of Guinea (Conakry), Mozambique and Sierra Leone,” Tiemtoré added.
