An unidentified number of alleged kidnappers took another victim into captivity in Maputo this Monday morning (05-08).
Miramar has learned from eyewitnesses that the bandits’ action was swift and well-coordinated and took place in a busy location generally considered safe due to its proximity to high-security areas.
This kidnapping is the latest in a series of similar incidents that have been worrying Maputo residents, with at least three cases recorded in less than a month.
Criminal investigation authorities in Maputo city confirm the incident, but have not yet released the identity of the victim, but the Anti-Raptos-Beira platform identifies the victim as “the son of Imtiaz United”.
The same platform had reported earlier that a kidnapping victim seized in Maputo on July 22 was released and returned to his family on Friday, August 2nd.
