Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will benefit from reduced participation fees at the 59th edition of the Maputo International Fair (FACIM), which will take place from 26 August to 1 September.
The measure is intended to encourage the active participation of this sector and promote local products and services.
“For this edition, we are offering numerous advantages to businesspeople, especially SMEs, to whom we intend to offer reduced fees in order to encourage their active participation in the event. This measure will help stimulate business and create more interaction between national and foreign investors,” newspaper Notícias quotes FACIM director Octavio Zefanias as saying.
Zefanias said that the Agency for the Promotion of Investment and Exports (APIEX) was committed to helping SMEs access new markets and partners, expanding their production capacities.
APIEX also announced the introduction of two new pavilions at FACIM: the Industrialization Pavilion, exploring innovations and advances in Mozambican industry; and the Development Corridors Pavilion, focusing on economic growth and development through strategic corridors.
FACIM 2024 expects the participation of 26 countries and around 65,000 visitors.
