Jennifer “Chude” Mondlane, the daughter of the founder and first president of the Front for the Liberation of Mozambique (FRELIMO), Eduardo Mondlane, died early this Monday, a victim of illness.
At 66 years of age, Chude Mondlane was hospitalised in a hospital in Morningside, Johannesburg, South Africa, a family source confirmed to Canalmoz.
Sister to Minister of Gender and Social Action Nyeletiu Mondlane and Eduardo Mondlane Jr, Chude was not directly involved in either politics or business. Chude Mondlane pursued an artistic career spanning from Mozambique to South Africa and the United States of America, where she developed her professional life in the music industry as a singer, songwriter, performing artist and music producer .
