Mozambique: Farewell ceremony of the Angola and Namibia contingents from SAMIM – Photos

SAMIM Republic of Angola and Republic of Namibia Contingent members have ended their Tour of Duty in Capo Delgado. On Monday April 29, 2024, SAMIM held a farewell ceremony at Pemba Airport to accolade the members with the medals and to applaud them for taking part in the mission.

Chaplain F.P. Ntshona read the scripture from 2nd Samuel 2:6 “May the Lord show you Kindness and Faithfulness and I too will show you the same favour because you have done this” He urged all members to carry on with the great work back at home.

SAMIM Force Commander Maj Gen P.N. Dube conveyed appreciation message to SAMIM Republic of Angola and Republic of Namibia Contingent members for their exceptional professionalism in providing service to the Province of Cabo Delgado. FC stated, “you served SAMIM well your work will always remain in the hearts and the minds of the people of Mozambique”.

SAMIM would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your outstanding commitment, levels of dedication, courage, and skills during our deployment in support of the Republic of Mozambique’s security forces. We are proud of your contribution to regional peace and stability. We thank you and wish you a safe return home. Acting Head of Mission Mr. K. Mazuba, concluded by saying “Through you, we also send warmest regards to your families and principals”.
