Mozambique: More than 600 people displaced in Marracuene

Over 600 individuals from 136 families are currently housed in three temporary accommodation centers following the flooding caused by rain in the municipal village of Marracuene, in the Maputo province.
Preliminary data indicates that 74 residences are completely flooded, 93 are partially flooded, in addition to two schools and one health center being inaccessible.
Judite Leite Mussácula, the Secretary of State in the Province of Maputo, who visited the municipal area, also reported that eight roads are impassable, two power transformation stations are submerged, a railway line is interrupted by landslides, and three electricity transport poles have fallen.
