Mozambique won't pay reinstatement allowances to the civil servants leaving office - report

In the Province of Cabo Delgado in 2023, 29,772 jobs were created, of which 10,202 were occupied by women. -This figure corresponds to more than 100% fulfilment of the expected target of 25,085.`10
The information was made public at the V Ordinary Session of the Provincial Executive Council of Cabo Delgado, in the City of Pemba, by the Provincial Director of Youth, Employment and Sports, Maria Lourdes Carrilho, in her presentation of annual performance.
Maria Lourdes Carrilho said that, in the period in question, the sector distributed 19 self-employment kits to young people.
The Council approved the balance of activities carried out by the Youth, Employment and Sports sector in Cabo Delgado.
Commenting on the performance, Governor Valige Tauabo said that, despite the adversities that Cabo Delgado faces, the sector’s activities were carried out even in its remoter parts.
The Fifth Ordinary Session of Cabo Delgado’s Provincial Executive Council also considered the proposal for the Industrial Parks ordinance; the project for the XV Edition of the Wimbe Festival; the Terms of Reference for the Preparation of the Territorial Strategy in the Province; the Management Account of the Bodies of Provincial Decentralized Governance, referring to the year 2023; and preparations for the inauguration of 50 houses of the Renascer Project.
