Mozambique | Just In: Another kidnapping in broad daylight in Maputo city

A citizen whose identity has not yet been officially confirmed was the victim of abduction, at around 7 a.m., this Thursday, outside his house, located on Rua Augusto Macamo, in Maputo city’s Alto Maé neighbourhood.
Eyewitnesses cited by Jornal Domingo online say that the kidnapped citizen is the son of businessman Arif Judge, better known as Al Habib. Meanwhile, Facebook page ‘Anti-Raptos Beira’ identifies the victim as “the son of Arif Judje”.
Meanwhile, witnesses told Miramar that the family’s driver had parked the vehicle near the gate, as usual. As the victim approached the car, two armed men emerged from a vehicle parked nearby and fired shots into the air. After the panic generated by their actions, the kidnappers took the victim and fled at high speed towards Avenida Maguiguana.

After the incident, the police authorities were called and are committed to rescuing the victim and capturing those responsible for the kidnapping.
