Prime Minister Adriano Maleiane will visit the People’s Republic of China from 17 to 23 October, to participate, on behalf of President of the Republic Filipe Nyusi, in the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation and a China-Mozambique Business Forum.
The forum takes place in Beijing on the 17th and 18th October under the motto: “High-Quality Belt and Road Cooperation: Together for Common Development and Prosperity”, and takes place within the scope of China’s “Belt and Road Initiative” (BRI), launched in 2013 by President of China Xi Jinping.
The objective of the event is to boost trade and economic integration between the countries involved in the initiative through investment in structural development infrastructure such as roads, bridges, railway lines, ports, oil pipelines and communication networks, alongside other actions that promote connectivity and socio-economic development.
