Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi urged Mozambican population to forget the political-military crisis that plagues the country today and change family agriculture in business agriculture and boost food independence.
‘We must not lose focus on our agenda, which is to create the welfare of the people’, said Nyusi in the Macate district at the end of his three-day visit to the central province of Manica.
‘They want us to think only of the war and not fulfill our development agenda’, said Nyusi referring to Renamo, main opposition party.
According to farmers, due to the crisis production fell 7.7 percent in the first period (about 2.6 million tons).
Currently central Mozambique is subjected to clashes between security forces and defense and armed members of Renamo.
