Mozambique: President Nyusi attends UN Leaders’ Reception hosted by US President Joe Biden

President Filipe Nyusi, in the company of his wife, Isaura Ferrao Nyusi, participated on Tuesday in the United Nations General Assembly Leaders’ Reception, hosted by his US counterpart, Joe Biden, and his wife, Jill Biden.
Biden spoke briefly at the UNGA world leaders’ reception at Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC, mentioning Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, climate change and “coming together” to bend the arc of history in a better direction. pic.twitter.com/XLftMDekD4

At the reception in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, President Nyusi shared with other heads of state the challenges facing Mozambique, in particular our experience of the disarmament, demobilisation and reintegration of former Renamo guerrillas and our mission as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
At the same event, the president also addressed the development aspects of our country.
