Mozambique: President congratulates President-elect of Zimbabwe

The President of the Republic, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, addressed a message of congratulations to the President-elect of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, for a second term as President of the Republic, reads a comunique ,issued on Wednesday by the Presidency of the Republic of Mozambique.

In the message, the Head of State writes that he followed with great interest the harmonised elections that were held in the sister Republic of Zimbabwe, on August 23, 2023, having with satisfaction learned of the election of Emmerson Mnangagwa for a second term as President of the Republic of Zimbabwe.

“On behalf of the People and Government of the Republic of Mozambique, as well as my own, I would like to congratulate Your Excellency and the people of Zimbabwe for the opportunity to lead them towards achieving their aspirations for progress and well-being. You being chosen in highly competitive elections demonstrates the confidence placed in you by the majority of voters to continue to lead the Zimbabwean Nation towards the socio-economic development and well-being of the Zimbabwean people”, reads the message from the President of the Republic.

The Head of State stresses that “while I wish you success in carrying out your noble duties as President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, I would like to assure you of my commitment to working with Your Excellency to deepen the bonds of brotherhood and cooperation between our two countries and peoples, as well as in SADC, the African Union and the United Nations”

PR felicita Presidente eleito do Zimbabwe

Maputo, 30 de Agosto de 2023 – O Presidente da República, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, endereçou uma mensagem de felicitações ao Presidente eleito da República do Zimbabwe, Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa,para um segundo mandato como Presidente da República.

Na mensagem, o Chefe do Estado refere que acompanhou com muito interesse as eleições harmonizadas que foram realizadas na irmã República do Zimbabwe, a 23 de Agosto de 2023, tendo com satisfação tomado conhecimento da eleição de
Emmerson Mnangagwa para um segundo mandato como Presidente da República do Zimbabwe.

“Em nome do Povo e do Governo da República de Moçambique, bem como no meu próprio, gostaria de felicitar Vossa Excelência e ao povo do Zimbabwe pela oportunidade de os liderar rumo ao alcance das suas aspirações de progresso e bem-estar. A vossa escolha em eleições altamente concorridas evidencia a confiança depositada em vós pela maioria dos eleitores para continuar a liderar a Nação Zimbabweana em prol do desenvolvimento socioeconómico e bem-estar do povo zimbabwiano”, lê-se na mensagem do Presidente da República.

O Chefe do Estado salienta que “enquanto vos desejo sucesso no desempenho das vossas nobres funções de Presidente da República do Zimbabwe, gostaria de assegurar-vos o meu empenho em trabalhar com Vossa Excelência para aprofundar os laços de irmandade e cooperação entre os nossos dois países e povos, bem assim na SADC, União Africana e Nações Unidas”
