Making cabotage (coastal shipping) viable in Mozambique involves adopting measures to boost cargo demand to sufficient quantities in all national ports.
The cabotage service was reintroduced in 2020 as an alternative to the transport of goods by road, with the consequent degradation of road infrastructure.
