Members of the Mozambican Parliament are this Friday participating in the first Parliamentarians’ Demographic Dividend Workshop at the Hotel Polana in Maputo, where matters related to the sexual and reproductive health of adolescents and young people will be addressed.
The attending MPs include members of the Office of the Parliamentary Youth and members of parliament’s Planning and Budget Commission,
The meeting results from the follow-up on the actions addressed in the IV Forum of the Office of the Parliamentary Youth and aims to discuss population issues, the possibility of women and young people leading a healthy life, and work to accelerate universal access to sexual and reproductive health, including voluntary family planning and safe motherhood.
Organized by the Mozambican parliament in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the Demographic Dividend Workshop will, among other matters, explore the search for effective rights and opportunities, especially for young people.
