The Governor of Inhambane Province, Daniel Chapo, has been participating since Monday in the 12th Annual Investment Meeting (AIM Global 2023) in Abu Dhabi, capital of United Arab Emirates.
Governor Chpao took with him the potential and investment opportunities that the ‘land of good people’ offers, specifically, in the areas of tourism, farming, infrastructure, fisheries among others.
As for infrastructure, the governor’s particular focus is mobilising Investment in the N222 Road project linking Mapinhane and Pafuri.
Inhambane’s participation in the Abu Dhabi forum, which ends on Wednesday, is a bonus for this part of the country, as it will enable the province to showcase itself to countries which may be sources of foreign direct investment (FDI), especially the UAE.
Participants from 170 countries are attending AIM Global 2023, a premier investment platform for global investors taking place for the first time in Abu Dhabi under the theme “The Investment Paradigm Shift: Future Investment Opportunities To Foster Sustainable Economic Growth, Diversity and Prosperity”.
The three-day event attracts an international audience of top executives, decision makers, senior corporate leaders, government officials and civil society representatives, all gathering to identify untapped business opportunities and promote cooperation on a mutually beneficial basis.
With a focus on building a roadmap for the global economy, the event highlights five key pillars: startups, foreign direct investment, small and medium enterprises, future cities, and foreign portfolio investments, all aimed at stimulating local and international economic growth.
