Heavy rains in the Maputo province caused widespread flooding and massive damage two weeks ago. This left many households in need of basic emergency supplies.
MozParks and the partner companies at the Beluluane Industrial Park provided the second batch of humanitarian aid to the Boane district communities.
Approximately 350 families, currently accommodated in a shelter center, received much needed 5 tonnes of food and personal hygiene products.
This charity event was led by Neyde Parruque, the spouse of the Governor of the Maputo Province; Jacinto Loureiro, mayor of the Boane municipality; and Guilhermina Gaspar, district administrator.
Huge thanks to MozParks, Midal Cables, Raxio, OK Plastics Lda, Duys Moçambique, Bosch Rexroth, MGC – Matola Gas Company, MIDY – Energia & Serviços, Outotec, MRO Produtos Industriais, Fluid Power Automation, Escopil Industria, ASEZA – Africa Special Economic Zones Alliance S.A and LASO Moçambique who, this Friday morning, sent a convoy of trucks loaded with the humanitarian aid for the victims of flooding.
