Dozens of people in Maputo have been resorting to drainage ditches to secure water for consumption.
This is the result of water supply restrictions following on from floods affecting the Umbelúzi Treatment Station.
The water’s brownish colour signals a real public health risk. People interviewed by TVM admit that they know the water is unsafe but add that taps are dry since Saturday.
