Mozambique, Zambia to build Beira-Ndola pipeline, a $1.5 billion project

Maputo will host the third Mozambique Gas Summit & Exhibition on 30 November – 2 December 2016, gathering the world’s energy leaders to meet with local government and national companies to discuss the current opportunities and pave the way for Mozambique’s gas development. Organised in partnership with ENH and supported by INP and CMH, the Summit will focus solely on the gas industry of Mozambique, highlighting the latest developments, projects and partnerships in the sector through 3 days of strategic debates which run alongside a large exhibition.
The event will commence on the 30th November with a full day dedicated to National Content, an important legislation to protect and promote the country’s development. Some of the key topics to be addressed involve the strategies to implement successful National Content policies, how local companies can qualify for the gas and LNG projects and how to build capacity in country and bridge the existing skills gaps. The Strategic Summit, on 1-2 December will start with Government keynote announcements on the vision for the industry followed by national and international companies leading key panels focused on their case studies, the current gas projects, the gas market, new technologies, project financing, among other topics.

A large exhibition will also run alongside the 3 days, with exhibiting companies including ENH, Technip, General Electric Oil & Gas, and others. The exhibition will enable more practical discussions to take place among local suppliers and large international companies, exploring partnership possibilities which would comply with National Content and help build the capacity in the country.
