Mozambique: Terrorists claim deaths of 30 soldiers in Macomia district - AIM report
Screen grab: TVM
The movement of people and goods on the R766 road between Macomia and Mucojo administrative post is now restricted, as a result of rain falling in the central region of Cabo Delgado.
“We are talking about a section about four kilometres from the village of Macomia, at the approach to a small bridge. Fortunately, it was the access and not the bridge that was affected,” the National Roads Administration (ANE) delegate in the province explained.
The ANE already has a contractor on site, and a detour has been created to facilitate transit.
Cabo Delgado has about 3,000 kilometres of unpaved road, much of which is routinely compromised during the annual rainy season.
