State revenue collection had by the end of November reached 275.6 billion meticais, or 94 percent of the annual target.
The collection forecast for this year is 293.2 billion meticais, meaning that around 18 million meticais remains to be collected before the end of December.
The information was shared on Wednesday afternoon by the President of the Tax Authority of Mozambique, Amélia Muendane, at a balance sheet meeting for the 2022 fiscal year held with journalists in Maputo.
While acknowledging that the Mozambican economy is currently experiencing what she classified as an “economic hangover” from the effects of Covid-19 and other factors, the President of the Tax Authority said that the country was in full recovery.
