China wants to establish more partnerships with Mozambican businesspeople, according to a delegation from Wuhan currently visiting Maputo.
The Asian country is particularly interested in mining, commerce and services.
The delegation from the Department of Commerce of Wuhan Province visited the Chamber of Commerce of Mozambique this Tuesday with the aim of creating business links.
“We have come to Mozambique with the main objective of strengthening economic cooperation between the province of Wuhan, in China, and Mozambique,” Deputy Director of Commerce Lou Liangji said. “We also intend to invite Mozambican businesspeople to visit Wuhan in June next year to monitor our partnership and the economic exports that we will make.”
For the president of the Mozambique Chamber of Commerce, Álvaro Massinga, China’s willingness to invest in the country is an advantage.
“China is available to invest in Mozambique and is looking for partnerships in the areas of production, trade and services. Our country will be represented at the fair in Wuhan next June by the Chamber of Commerce of Mozambique and the national business community, which will guarantee partnerships for the future,” Massinga said.
