‘Noticias Online’ reports an official source as saying that the ministers will in these sessions assess the degree of implementation of the decisions emanating from the previous sessions, and address and agree positions on matters of interest to the countries of Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific and the European Union, highlighting especially the signing of the future relationship framework between the two organisations, post-Cotonou, and discuss cooperation for financing development in the context of the new financial instrument, the Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument (NDICI) – Europe Global 2021-2027, which replaced the European Development Fund (EDF).
The meeting will also evaluate preparations for the organisation’s 10th summit, to take place in Luanda, Angola, on the 9th and 10th of December of this year.
On this trip, Deputy Minister Gonçalves is accompanied by Berta Cossa, Ambassador of the Republic of Mozambique to the Kingdom of Belgium and Permanent Representative of Mozambique to the European Union, and by the Director of the National Authorising Office (GON) for Mozambique-European Union Cooperation, Ambassador Mario Nguenha.
