Mozambique: New batch of Correios de Moçambique real estate assets is up for sale

Mozambique is the third-largest market for Portuguese construction companies operating in Africa, data from Portugal’s Association of Construction, Public Works and Services (AECOPS) shows.
Mozambique represented a market worth around EUR400 million for Portuguese construction in 2014, with Angola their the main African market, worth around EUR1,915 million. Malawi came second, with contracts worth around EUR506 million closed last year.
Overall, Portuguese construction companies invoiced more than EUR5.6 billion abroad in 2014, a six percent increase over 2013, AECOPS’s “Notebooks of Internationalization”, cited by the Journal Business Portugal, reveals. In 2015 however, the portfolio of overseas orders fell back 14 percent to EUR5.7 billion.
