Mozambican banks close 2024 with credit in default above the recommended level

Governor of Cabo Delgado province Valige Tauabo on Monday of last week (17-10) launched the Cabo Delgado Economic Development Promotion Centre (CPDE), reads a note by the Provincial council Press Office (GIGP).
According to the same source, the CPDE is an entity of the decentralised provincial governance body dedicated to the coordination of actions and implementation of development projects, within the limits and attributions of the organ’s decentralised bodies.
Delivering the opening speech, Valige Tauabo explained that the CPDE was mandated to raise internal and external resources for the implementation of projects related to the Five-Year Local Governance Programme, to be carried out by civil society organisations.
The CPDE also has the mandate to promote actions to attract and mobilise investments for the province.
Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary of State for Cabo Delgado, António Njanje Supeia, praised the vision of the provincial executive council for anticipating the development processes and staking out a firm position to take advantage of the comparative advantages resulting from the new centralities foreseen as being generated by upcoming mega-projects.
