President Filipe Nyusi is opening this Thursday in Maputo, a Regional Meeting of Public Prosecutors and Criminal Investigation Police of the countries of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) on Combating Terrorism, Violent Extremism and Terrorist Financing.

Apart from Mozambique’s own delegation, representatives from fifteen (15) countries will be in attendance, namely: South Africa, Angola, Botswana, Congo, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda , Zambia and Zimbabwe, reads .a statement from the Presidency of the Republic,
Reflections and experiences on criminal investigation, in the context of terrorism, good practices of legal and judicial cooperation to combat the phenomenon will be shared, according to a communique from the Presidency of Mozambique.
At today’s event will be presented a project for designing and adopting an electronic form for requests for legal and judicial cooperation in the fight against organized and transnational crime in the SADC region. The adoption of this electronic form would make such legal and judicial cooperation processes more fluid.
