The Government, by instituting the ‘Young Creative Award’, has as its main objective to encourage and stimulate the emergence of talents among young Mozambicans and, in this way, establish a platform for the inclusion and involvement of our youth in the country’s development process.
“The ‘Young Creative Award’ is a platform where solutions led by young people converge. It represents another window of opportunity, where young people can show their potential in terms of innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship,” the prime minister said.
Maleiane advised the young Mozambicans to choose appropriate jobs.
“We have so many talented people in this country, there is a lot of creativity. Perhaps many do not realise that we are not here in the Indian Ocean by chance. We have everything to make it right. Young people should be able to do anything, even if they find it difficult. As long as it gives them an income and is socially acceptable, don’t give up,” he advised.
Maleiane also encouraged young people to participate more in the contest in greater numbers.
“By investing in technological innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship, you are playing your part in the process of growth and development in Mozambique in a remarkable, tangible and visible way, as well as contributing to the improvement of the lives of the communities where each of you is located. inserted. In order to continue to build an increasingly prosperous Mozambique together, it is crucial that the more than 11 million young Mozambicans embrace the ‘Prémio Jovem Criativo’ program promoted by the Secretary of State for Youth and Employment, whose implementation is ensured by the National Institute for Youth,” he concluded.
Four thousand young people from all over the country participated in the contest.
