National Aviation Services (NAS), the fastest-growing aviation services provider in the emerging markets, has launched Pearl Assist, the first Ministry of Interior-approved meet and assist service at Maputo International Airport in Mozambique.
NAS holds a passenger handling licence from the Civil Aviation Authority of Mozambique (IACM) and is authorised to serve passengers at the international arrivals area. The services provided by NAS include assistance with visas on arrival, priority access to visa counters, a dedicated immigration counter and a dedicated customs x-ray machine, ensuring that arriving passengers leave the airport quickly and effortlessly.
The Pearl Assist services are provided by licensed, well-trained and knowledgeable passenger service agents who escort passengers through immigration and security via immigration-designated fast track channels, with visa assistance as well as other personalised services. With bilingual skills, they can efficiently assist business and leisure travellers, whether individuals or families.
The launch event was attended by Ercília Mucavele, General Manager of Maputo International Airport, Chivambo Mamadhusen, Chairman of NAS Mozambique, migration and Tax Authority of Mozambique officials, journalists and other dignitaries.
Ercília Mucavele said the launch would boost the guided services to passengers, contributing to the speed of service to passengers without queues, through a dedicated counter to meet their needs and improve their experiences during their travels.
Speaking on behalf of NAS, Guy Michel Yazbeck, Group Director, Lounges & Meet and Assist Services at National Aviation Services (NAS) said: “NAS has a long-standing relationship with Maputo International Airport, having started lounge operations in 2018. We have a network of more than 55 lounges across airports in Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Europe. With our comprehensive understanding of airport logistics, we aim to provide high quality services that make the travel experience both seamless and hassle-free for passengers – whether individuals or groups travelling together. As an official meet and assist services provider at Maputo International Airport, we aim to apply our expertise and experience to ensure passengers not only leave the airport quickly, but with the best customer experience.”
