Today, the 3rd of June, at the MMEC 2022 MozParks took a part in the Development Projects Panel with representatives of some of Mozambique’s biggest midstream and downstream projects. They discussed the current and future opportunities for local employment generation, along with the engagement of small and medium scale enterprises in the value chain. When completed these projects will significantly enhance Mozambique’s position in regional energy infrastructures and strategic energy mix.
MozParks presented its models of the Industrial Park Development in Mozambique which provide business opportunities for SMEs to grow a successful and sustainable business around industrial giants like Mozal aluminium smelter in Maputo Province and Kenmare mines in Nampula Province.
MozParks Beluluane Industrial Park in Boane and MozParks Topuito Agro-Processing Park near Larde are such examples. Both parks were brought to the audience’s attention by Onorio Manuel, General Director of MozParks, who presented a specially created business environment, tax exemptions and other incentives of operating within MozParks Free Zones.
MozParks strategically locates its industrial parks with a view of growing circular economies and employment opportunities for local communities.
MozParks is aiming to develop one industrial park in each province of Mozambique, contributing to the industrial development of the country.
