The supply of electricity to the headquarters village of Meluco district in Cabo Delgado was re-established on Wednesday afternoon, after a five-day interruption caused by the vandalisation of three power line poles by the terrorists.
The information was provided by Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM) Pemba distribution area delegate Gildo Marques.
According to Marques, three poles in the 1 de Maio village in Muaguide administrative post were burned down by the terrorists, leaving the Meluco headquarters village in darkness.
