KARMOL continues supporting the communities in need in the area where the company operates. In this light the company donated food baskets to more than 800 people in Nacala.
As a part of the EID-Ul Fitr celebration, in the current month of May 2022, KARMOL offered food baskets for over 800 people including children in orphanages, people living with the HIV virus and survivors of armed attacks in Cabo Delgado.
KARMOL’s solidarity action includes basic food products, corn flour, rice, beans, oil, sugar, spaghetti pasta, channeled to eight institutions located in seven neighborhoods in Nacala: Association for Aid to IDPs, Mamã Doca Shelter Centre, Masjid Muadh Bin Jabal, Mother Pilar Shelter Centre, Akumi Health Centre, Direct Aid Orphanage, Activities Center and Association for Charitable Aids.
This solidarity event was attended by the local Government, EDM, INAS, charities, among other individuals. The representative of the charities, Dom Alberto Arejula, praised the initiative of KARMOL for having provided support to a social group in need. “We were very pleased to receive and praise this gesture of love for others shown by KARMOL. The gesture of promoting fraternization that includes disadvantaged and vulnerable children is unique, especially for not letting this date go unnoticed for those who have little or almost nothing. So, this is one of the most thoughtful and sincere humanitarian gestures,” said Arejula.
