Mozambique launches cost-saving hospital digitalization project

Two health centres closed by the recent terrorist activity in Palma district, Cabo Delgado province, are to reopen this week.
The health centres in Quionga and Muti are reopening to serve citizens returning to their areas of origin.
Magido Sabune, provincial director of health in Cabo Delgado, spoke to Radio Moçambique about other facilities in the province which have reopened following improvements in the security situation.
“Palma Health Centre is also working, as is Maganja Health Centre. In Macomia district, the Health Centre of the Macomia headquarters and the maternity hospital have already been rehabilitated, and some colleagues have already returned. In Muidumbe district, we have the Mipeda Health Centre, while in Mocímboa da Praia district, one health unit that we were able to access immediately was the Diaka Health Centre,” he said.
