The cause of forest and fauna protection in Mozambique will benefit from Ugandan support in eradicating poaching and the indiscriminate killing of endangered animal species.
The pledge was given by the President of the Republic of Uganda, Yowery Museveni, who sees animal conservation areas as a potential source of income for the state.
In response to the Ugandan government’s gesture, President of the Republic Filipe Nyusi promised that part of his delegation, headed by the National Director of Conservation Areas, would remain in Uganda to discuss the matter further.
On Thursday (28-04), the Mozambican head of state visited various food and cash crop projects in Uganda.
