Mozambique: INAE seizes more than 2,000 bottles of unsafe water in Maputo province

The National Inspectorate for Economic Activities (INAE) has seized more than 2,000 bottles of unsafe water in Maputo province.
Meanwhile, in Manica province, water containing high levels of faecal microorganisms and choleriforms was also seized . The seized water was in 500 ml sachet containers.
Two commercial establishments responsible for water treatment and packaging were subsequently closed, INAE spokesman Tomás Timba told the press.
The seizure of mineral water unsuitable for consumption was carried out within the framework of inspections of water bottling and distribution companies.
