Mozambique: Travel agency denies financing Frelimo campaign - AIM

Mozambique’s flagship airline Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique (LAM) last week announced the resumption of direct flights between Vilankulo and Johannesburg.
A statement seen by ‘Carta’ notes that the first flight on the route departed Johannesburg at 10:55 a.m. last Thursday with an estimated arrival in Vilankulo at 1:10 p.m.. The return flight from Vilankulo was schedule to take off at 1:40 p.m., arriving in Johannesburg at 3:55 p.m..
Subsequent flights will take place on Mondays and Fridays.
The document details that the flight, undertaken by a Q-100 aircraft carrying 37 economy class passengers, will last approximately two-and-a-quarter hours.
The flights will be operated in financial partnership with CemAir, under a recently signed agreement.
“By reintroducing the Vilankulo/Johannesburg route, LAM is effectively positioning itself as an active player in the promotion of tourism through the provision of transport services that allow tourists to expand their quick travel options to access their preferred destinations,” the statement reads.
Vilankulo district was elected the top most beautiful place in Africa by the TravelCoterie website, which specialises in tourism.
