Mozambique: Portugal's Sporting to pay Black Bulls €1 million for Geny Catamo rights

Eagles de Maxixe – the team that represents the province of Inhambane in the Sasol League – brought their A game today, facing Desportivo Municipal da Beira, in a final result of 51 against 104, in favour of the Chiveve girls. Although the team has the youngest players in the championship, the Eagles have shown a lot of courage and determination, giving their best performance, against more experienced teams.
The participation of the Inhambane’s team is part of the 24% sponsorship package, granted by Sasol, dedicated to the development and promotion of basketball in Inhambane province.
As explained by the Senior Manager of Corporate Affairs, Mateus Mosse, the support for Inhambane is focuses on three essential areas: “Sasol, through the Mozambican Basketball League, will provide institutional support to the provincial basketball association and help carry out provincial competitions, which result in the qualification of the team that represents the province in national competitions. In addition, the League will promote local competitions, in Govuro, Inhassoro and Vilankulo, in the 3 by 3 model, to promote the sport in the districts that host Sasol’s operations.”
Sasol League has been running since the 7th of February and the champion of the competition, which will be the best team of the 3 finalist games, will be known in the second or third game of the finals, to be held on Friday the 18th and Sunday, 20th of February, respectively, at 6:00pm.
