Following the improvement of security conditions, the process of returning to their areas of origin victims terrorism currently finding refuge in the district of Mecula, Niassa province, ends this week.
By this Wednesday, of the 1,192 families that had been resettled in the district, 335 from the villages of Naulala 1 and 2 were still awaiting the conclusion of the process, which takes place in tandem with home reconstruction.
The figures were shared by the National Institute for Disaster Risk Reduction (INGD) delegate in Niassa, Friday Taibo.
More than 5,000 people displaced by terrorist attacks were accommodated at the reception centre in the main town of Mecula, in Niassa province.
