The information was provided by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Manuel Gonçalves, who is part of the delegation visiting the EU headquarters.
“As you know, in Mozambique, within the scope of the SADC presidency, the Humanitarian Assistance Centre was created in Nacala, Nampula province. What Mozambique now wants is training for the centre, above all in terms of human resources. So we’re going to need support from the European Union to help create resources that can respond quickly when there are disaster situations,” Gonçalves said.
The Mozambican head of state has been in Brussels, Belgium, since Monday, where he is paying a working visit to the European Union, as part of the strengthening of diplomatic relations and economic cooperation.
