Electrical supply has been re-established in Marromeu district, Sofala province, after a cut caused by the passage of Tropical Storm Ana.
The blackout lasted 11 days, during which time public power utility Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM) erected an emergency pylon to replace the one brought down by the storm on January 24, 2022.
