Mocuba, Gurué and Milange districts in Zambézia province are without electricity at present following bad weather there on Saturday (11-08).
A statement from Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM) says technical teams are working to restore electricity in the region.
The document also informs that continuing rain in the region is making it difficult to replace the system that supplies the Chá UP12 and Água do Gurué factories.
Given the situation, EDM recommends residents of areas affected by bad weather to observe prevention and safety measures, and especially avoid all contact with electrical installations.
