The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Dubai Chamber) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Confederation of Businesses from the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CE-CPLP), to enhance cooperation between the two organisations.
The document was signed on the sidelines of the Global Business Forum Africa (GBF) 2021, taking place at Expo 2020 Dubai, by H.E. Hamad Buamim, President and CEO of Dubai Chamber and Salimo Abdula, President of the CE-CPLP.
The agreement seeks to create a business framework to bolster business deals between the two organisations as well as make for better cooperation procedures and investment opportunities to all countries encompassed by the Confederation of Businessess and Dubai Chamber.
H.E. Buamim said: “Dubai Chamber is very eager to work with the countries we believe we need to do more with, and sometimes the language can be a barrier. Hopefully with this partnership we will break these barriers and will be able to expand even further. I believe we have succeeded with certain countries, but there are many other countries that hopefully with partnerships with organisations like the CE-CPLP, we will be able to also grow their numbers.”
