Cornelder de Moçambique (CdM) is a private joint venture between Moçambique Ports and Railways (CFM) and Cornelder Holdings based in Rotterdam – Holland. CdM operates has operated the Container and General Cargo Terminals in the Port of Beira since October 1998.
The Port of Beira developed quickly due to its professional and dedicated management and also to its strategic location in the region, which provides a vital link for transit cargo to/from Zimbabwe, Malawi, Zambia, Botswana and DR Congo, as well as Moçambique itself.
The port is directly linked by road and rail to Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia and DR Congo, and by road to Malawi.
