Moz Parks highlighted at Mozambique’s Agricultural, Commercial and Industrial Fair

Moz Parks, Mozambique’s premier industrial park & free-trade zone developer, was highlighted during the 56th edition of the Mozambique Agricultural, Commercial and Industrial Fair (FACIM), which opened this Monday in Ricatla, Marracuene district, Maputo province.

The fair is the largest showcase of the country’s products and economic potential, and is taking place in a hybrid manner this year because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Moz Parks, a Public-Private-Partnership between the Mozambican Government Agency for Investment & Export Promotion (APIEX) and Swiss-Mozambican investors, is currently developing industrial parks in every province of Mozambique, with the goal of providing growth opportunities for Mozambique’s industrial sector.

During the brand’s showcase event, held at the Maputo Pavilion and attended by Mozambique’s Minister of Industry and Trade, Carlos Mesquita, Moz Parks’ Director Onório Boane reinforced the company’s commitment to making its mark in each and every province of Mozambique.

“Moz Parks is a public-private partnership whose main focus is to develop and manage four distinct elements: free economic zones, industrial parks, free-trade zones and agri-parks. Moz Parks’ vision is that every province in our beautiful country must have one Moz Park. Right now, we have our flagship park, in the Maputo Province, the Beluluane Industrial Park, we are also developing the Topito Industrial Park, in Nampula (…) and we are developing an agri-park in Montepuez, Cabo Delgado.”

Beluluane Industrial Park, which is managed by Moz Parks, is widely recognised as the standard model for industrial parks in Mozambique. It is strategically placed on the backbone of the Maputo Economic Corridor, within easy reach of the border to South Africa and Mozambique’s largest markets in Maputo, with access to a large and cost-effective labour force.

Beluluane Industrial Park currently offers a range of incentives for its clients, which include fiscal benefits, access to infrastructure and utilities, as well as several skills development and training programmes aimed at bridging the gap between employers and its workforce.
