Between 2015 and 2050 half of the world’s population will be residing in just nine nations: Indonesia, India, Pakistan, DR Congo, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda and USA. Nearly 1.8 billion young people in the world today represent a staggering amount of human potential. Most of them will be struggling with lack of opportunities and poverty. Rizwan Adatia Foundation is working on creating opportunities for these people.
The core areas for the Rizwan Adatia Foundation (RAF) are to provide funding and services that address issues related to health, education and economic disparities. Incorporated in 2015, the foundation is an effort by Mr Rizwan Adatia – founder of COGEF Group that spans across 11 countries. Born in Porbandar, Gujarat and having spent early life in India, Rizwan, now resides in Mozambique had humble beginnings which inspired him to support causes.
RAF actively supports interventions that deliver defined quality of life to the poorest and the most deprived. The Foundation builds partnerships to offer resources, expertise and vision by working with impact within organizations around Africa and Asia. The RAF identifies factors that influence development and works in synergy with influences such as civil society, private sector, individuals and local government agencies. Besides philanthropy the Foundation approaches impact investments that can create improvement and growth for the beneficiary communities.
