The President of Renamo, Ossufo Momade, is meeting ambassadors on Wednesday to discuss the salary of demobilised soldiers, as well as the alleged lack of reintegration of former guerrillas in the Police of the Republic of Mozambique, within the scope of the Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration (DDR) process.
“As is well known, our demobilised soldiers have not been receiving the agreed salaries for many months, and there is no reintegration of our forces in the Police of the Republic of Mozambique, as agreed,” Momade said in Marringue on Sunday during a visit to Sofala province.
“On these aspects, next Wednesday we will hold a meeting with the ambassadors to try to solve these problems, but we are aware that we will soon find a way out,” Momade said.
