Mozambique: Alberto Chipande offers two vehicles, satellite phones to FDS in Cabo Delgado

National liberation struggle veteran Alberto Chipande says that the terrorist acts in Cabo Delgado are aimed at looting the country’s wealth and, as a contribution to the fight against terrorism, this Monday offered, on his own account, two vehicles and satellite phones to Defence and Security Forces stationed in Mueda and Macomia.

According to Chipande, the terrorists want to prevent Mozambique from taking advantage of its own resources.

“They don’t want you to sell gas there, but we are going to sell gas because it is in Mozambique and it belongs to the Mozambicans. They don’t want you to sell wood; but a while ago they stole wood from the port of Pemba. They stole containers of wood and shipped them to China. When the wood arrived in China, the Chinese, our friends, the government of China said: ‘Return this wood to Mozambique!’,” Chipande recounted.

O combatente da luta de libertação nacional, Alberto Chipande, diz que os actos terroristas que afectam a província de Cabo delgado, visam saquear as riquezas do país e como contributo para combater o terrorismo, Alberto Chipande ofereceu, esta segunda-feira, duas viaturas e telefones satélite às Forças de Defesa e Segurança, em Mueda e Macomia.

Segundo Chipande, os terroristas querem impedir o país de tirar benefício dos seus próprios recursos.

“Não querem que vocês vendam gás lá, mas nós vamos vender gás porque está em Moçambique e é dos moçambicanos. Não querem que vocês vendam madeira; há bocado, roubaram madeira no porto de Pemba. Roubaram contentores de madeira e carregaram para a China. Quando a madeira chegou na China, o chinês como é nosso amigo, o governo da China disse: Devolver para Moçambique essa madeira!”, frisou Chipande.
