Mozambique: Defence Minister says everything ready for arrival of SADC troops – O País

The minister of National Defence, Jaime Neto, says that everything is ready to receive the SADC troops who are coming to the country to help fight terrorism in Cabo Delgado.
Jaime Neto denies information about the postponement of the arrival of the regional force, due to alleged procedural issues on the part of Mozambique.
“There are already officials in Mozambique who are dealing with the arrival of this SADC intervention force”, guarantees the minister of Defence.
Jaime Neto also said that Mozambique is waiting for the arrival of the SADC force and explained that, if there is a reason that makes the arrival of the military intervention impossible, “it is no longer in our responsibility, but we are prepared”.

O ministro da Defesa Nacional, Jaime Neto, diz que está tudo apostos para a recepção das tropas da SADC que vêm ao país para ajudar no combate ao terrorismo em Cabo Delgado.
Jaime Neto desmente informações que dão conta do adiamento da chegada das tropas regionais, devido a alegadas questões processuais por parte de Moçambique.
“Já há oficiais em Moçambique que estão a tratar da vinda dessa força de intervenção da SADC”, garante o ministro da Defesa Nacional.
Jaime Neto refere, ainda, que Moçambique está expectante para a chegada da força da SADC e explicou que, caso haja uma razão que impossibilite a chegada da intervenção militar, “já não está na nossa responsabilidade, mas nós estamos preparados”.
