Mozambique: Chapo lights flame of national unity

The President of the Republic of Mozambique, Filipe Nyusi, is embarking on a three-day visit to Nampula today, with stops in Liúpo, Monapo, Muecate, Nacarôa and Mecuburi, meetings with local governments and other stakeholders, rallies and visits to projects of economic and social interest.
President Nyusi will be accompanied by the ministers of the Labour, Employment and Social Security, Vitória Diogo; Science and Technology, Higher, Technical and Professional Education, Jorge Nhambiu; Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs, Isaque Chande; and also by deputy ministers of the Interior, José dos Santos Coimbra; State Administration and Civil Service, Roque Silva Samuel; and Gender, Children and Social Welfare, Lucas Mangrasse, along with staff from the presidency and other state institutions.
President Nyusi’s visit to Nampula follows hot on the heels of his return from Zambia yesterday, where he opened a business fair as guest of honour.
