Mozambique: Man arrested in Maputo with two elephant tusks – Noticias

A 28-year-old man was arrested in Maputo on Thursday (29 April) in possession of two elephant tusks weighing, in total, 28 kilograms.
Leonel Muchina, spokesman for the Police of the Republic of Mozambique in the city of Maputo, said the two tusks were seized, along with the vehicle in which they were being transported.
Muchina said that the tusks were handed over to the National Conservation Areas Administration (ANAC).
